Motorhome gets to move

We took the motorhome for a ride today for the first time in three months.  It is such a job getting everything picked up and secured inside and out but the motorhome really needed to be driven.  We filled up on diesel and propane as well.  The motorhome ran really well and the trip went without a hitch.  When we got back Don started to feel really rotten, headache, body aches and chills.  We got the motorhome set up as much as we needed.  There was a dinner at the clubhouse that we had signed up for so I went over and brought the food home.

Tampa Trip

We went to Tampa again today.  It is good to get out of the park and area.  We ate lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, I ate too much and had an upset stomach the rest of the afternoon.  I went to Kohls and Don went to Camping World.  Then we went to Parksdale Farms and picked up a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit for around $8.

It was hot today and really hot in the motor home when we got back so turned on the air conditioners.  They ran off and on for the rest of the day.  Another hot day forecast for tomorrow.

Eat out Saturday

We went to the clubhouse for breakfast, was good today.  In the evening we went to Sonny's BQ, it was OK.  We probably should have ordered something different but the turkey was fine.  We just stayed home in the evening watching recorded TV shows.

Amendment II

Dinner and show

This is second day we didn't leave the park, must be some kind of record!  We had dinner at the clubhouse, it was chicken fried steak.  Not my favorite but Don likes it - they did have good green beans and strawberry shortcake.  After the dinner we came home and watched the DVD Bourne Legacy which we enjoyed, better than some of the shows we've been watching.  The weather continues to be cool and cold at night but forecast to warm up soon.

Brooksville again

We went to Brooksville today for hair cuts and a little shopping.  One store had an ad in today's newspaper that had several things I was interested in buying but when I got there the store had none of the items.  That is so disgusting  be a long time before I go there again.  We at lunch at Cici's Pizza and took home fish sandwiches from Arby's for dinner.

Finally feeling better

We went to Brooksville today, went to Kohl's and Sams Club.  I actually felt like doing a little shopping.  We ate at Chill's  had their baby back ribs, we had to wait about 20 minutes to get seated.  I was tired when we got home but am not coughing as much and usually don't have the congestion in my chest.  We watched the 1990's movie "True Lies", we had seen it a long time ago but enjoyed it again.

Tampa

We went to Tampa, just tired of staying home sick.  We ate at Sweet Tomatoes, I dished up my usual amount but couldn't eat it all.  Then we went to Target, Camping World and Parksdale Farms.  We loaded up with fresh fruit and vegetables got a bag of the wonderful honey bell oranges.  I was really worn out when we got home but good to go somewhere.

We got an egg plant - dinner tomorrow!

Sunday 1/13/13

Still sick, just can believe we don't get over this flu - has been 3 weeks now.  We have done the least bit possible and are taking care of ourselves, still we are sick.

Still sick

We haven't been doing ANYTHING.  We are both feeling rotten with the colds we have.  We needed to go into Bushnell for more cold products, didn't make it on Monday and today we finally go up the energy to go in late afternoon.  Brought home tacos for dinner, sure don't feel like cooking.  The new cold meds seem to be helping at least with the cough.

Colds

We both have colds now and feel rotten.  We brought home Chinese for dinner yesterday and ate the leftovers tonight.  Didn't feel like fixing anything.  It rained on and off all day so is very humid. Just a good day to stay home and recover.  We have got to get better soon!

We went to the Escapees luncheon at Golden Coral today.  There were about half the normal abound of people.  So many people have the cold crud like I have and some aren't back from their holiday trips.  After lunch we went to Target and CVS.  Good to get out today, I didn't even set fool outside yesterday thinking a slow day might help me get over the cold, feel better today!

Happy 2013

First time to type 2013!!!  I will probably get the wrong year for awhile.

Don actually let me sleep in some.  I was up coughing in the night but sound asleep in the morning. We went to the clubhouse for the traditional southern meal of black eyed pea soup, cabbage, corn bread.  I think I feel worse today, darn cold just holds on.
