Terrorist plots

When we went to bed last night I set the clocks one hour ahead - so was one hour later than usual going to sleep.  This morning when I got up at the usual time it was actually one hour earlier - so lost another hour of sleep.  How does that work, I set the clock back one hour and lost two hours of sleep.  Must be a terrorist  plot.

Yesterday was suppose to be nice, but no - rained on and off all day.  Ditto for today.  Two cold days of rain is not what I want, can hardly tolerate one.  Another terrorist plot.

Then there is the matter of the ant bite has turned half of my arm swollen and red.  Must be a terrorist ant.

Hope tomorrow is a better day---------

Hot out again

We have had rain on and off all day and it is hot - makes for air conditioner weather!  We had roast beef at the clubhouse last night, brought home chicken for dinner today.  We went to town for groceries and had lunch at Bugger King, it took 15 minutes to place our order - they cater to the drive-thru people first.

Weeki Wachee - not

We went to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park today with the intention of visiting but they were having a historic car rally and there were too many people around.  The cars were interesting to look at, very old.  One had a bumper sticker "Honk if any parts fall off".  We will try again next week to visit Weeki Wachee.

Instead we went to Target - they were out of my favorite trail mix "Dark Chocolate Espresso" but I got a couple other interesting bags.  Then we went to CVS and Sam's Club.  Don had a donut craving so we went to Dunkin Donuts.  Haven't done that in a very long time.  We had lunch at Chick-fil-a and then we stopped on the way home for a Subway for dinner.

Big cool down

About 4AM the weather front came through, the same one that has caused all the problems north of us.  We got some wind and a thunder storm but thankfully no sever storms.  The weather then cooled down and humidity dropped, feels so nice today.  We went out for breakfast as usual and came home to read the papers. At noon we went to a lunch for the volunteers in the park.  I guess I was a tag along, Don was the one who helped out on the clean-up days and helped shovel gravel around the clubhouse area.  They had grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with beans and Cole slaw and chips.

Later we went to the ice cream social, the first time this winter.  Us women "let" the men sit separately and so we could visit.  Some people were there I seldom get to see.   Talked to Brenda and Sheila in the evening.

Hot Saturday

We went to Bushnell for groceries and then home and turned on the air conditioner as it is a hot and humid day.    If I were in Minnesota I would be sure a storm was going to pop anytime, the weather just had that old familiar feeling.  We went to Wildwood for dinner at Steak and Shake.  The wind was causing high profile trucks and RV's trouble on the interstate.

Escapees Chapter Lunch

We went to Clermont Golden Corral for the Escapees Chapter Lunch today.  It wasn't as good of a turnout as normal, perhaps people are starting to make their way north.  Some folks think they have to rush home to do taxes!  There were still plenty of people and plenty of visiting.  Don and I went to the nearby Kohl's - didn't buy anything.  The motorhome was 85 degrees inside (same as outside) when we got home so turned on the air conditioner.  We are both a bit groggy, too much to eat I think.
