Move back to Mystic

Our two week "vacation" at Lebanon Hills County Park is over and we moved back to Mystic Lake Casino's Dakotah Meadows RV Park.  It is always nice here.  A cool day but no rain.  We had a electrical problem again, transfer switch we think - has happened before so need to look into the fix.  Finally got electric in the MH.

My cold has taken a turn for the worse, slight fever today - just when I have a lot to do and need all my energy.

Third time is dinner

We decided to go the our favorite Chinese Buffet tonight, our last night in the area.  We found out they just have a buffet on weekends.  So we decided to go to the rib place.  We used to get a dinner for 11.99 - it is now 16.99.  I know meat prices have gone up but this is crazy.  So we went to Out Back Steakhouse and had steak with all the shrimp you can eat.  Was a good meal, finally.

The weather has turned cool and still some rain on and off.  Heard Custer SD, where we have friends, got 8 inches of snow!!!

Remembering 9/11

Cold (I'm not cold, I have one)

Suffering enough?  yes I am

All plugged up, can hardly breath and hurt all over.  Nothing helps.  I hate colds.  I know I will recover, lets just hope it is soon.

Then there is the weather.  It has turned from nice to nasty.  No sun and top humidity.

A "10" day!

A "10" day was forecast so we decided it would be fun to have a family picnic here at our campsite.  The Peicks all had plans but we did get four of the Dennis' and dog Lexi, one had a birthday party to attend.  We had a good visit and it was great to enjoy the nice weather before it changes this coming week.  Lexi showed the yipping dogs next door how to behave, she is such a fine animal.  

Don is on the end of his cold but darn, I seem to be getting sick.  I hate colds.

Crying day at Walmart

We went for groceries at Walmart and I'm almost sure every kid (and there were plenty) under the age of 5 was crying or screaming or otherwise causing a scene.  The parents were doing nothing to quiet the little "darlings" down to make it worse.  The "darlings" seemed to be everywhere I wanted to be in the store.  I just wanted to get my groceries and get out BUT NO, 20 +/- cash registers and 3 were open with people lined up way back.  What price we pay to save a few bucks!

It was starting to rain so we went home and then in the afternoon took the stuff we have cleaned out of the place to charity.  Then it started to storm, lightning, thunder, rain.  We made a very quick stop at a farmer's market and went home and stayed home.

About 9 PM someone decided to back into the site next to us with plenty of noise.  We wondered if they were going to carry on into our bed time but then it started to rain so there was a damper on the activities.

We lost another great comedian, Joan Rivers.  We saw her live way back in 1972, sat right by the stage.  She was great even if a bit "blue".

Labor Day

The Dennis' invited us to their good "shrimp boil" dinner.  It was very good as always as well as entertainment from the kids and dog.  Was a good and fun time.

We are enjoying the beautiful weather after lots of rain last night.
