Easter 33113

We had a nice day, went out for dinner at Cracker Barrow where we ate too much.  We read the newspapers as usual and just did things around the motorhome.

Bar Fly???

We ate at Texas Road House this evening.  The place looked very busy so Don dropped me off at the door to go in and get a table while he parked the car.  They took one look at me and lead me to a table in their bar.  This inevitably happens to us - we don't want to sit in the bar because of a past bad experience but we are most always led to the bar.  Now I know it is me that looks like a bar fly.  We did get a table in the dinning room and had a good dinner.

(I'm thinking that they should ask if a table in the bar is OK with the customer   While we don't have any moral issue with sitting in a bar, just a past bad experience, some people do not want to be anywhere near alcohol.)

Back roads

Today we drove around some back roads near here.  We got off onto sand roads which made me nervous thinking we might get stuck and we almost did!  The country side is very different from up north, mostly forest and swamps with many houses in-between.   Some houses are a mess of junk and other houses are very nice.  Most people have dogs patrolling the fence line for protection.  Drugs and drug making are a big problem so that prompts break-ins.  

It has been cold and we have been using a lot of heat, electric and gas.  Gets near freezing at night. Many low temperature record were broken last night.

Thunder

We had some very loud thunderstorms today and got over 2 inches of rain.  Hope the rain slows down the fires for a few days.

We went to the ice cream social today, fewer and fewer people around.  

Don and Sue

Today we were introduced to Don and Sue Paulson from Michigan.  Seemed funny to meet someone with our same names.  They seemed very nice, didn't look anything like us!  We went to breakfast at the clubhouse, they were trying to get rid of leftover food as this is the last of the clubhouse meals for the season.  In the evening we ate at Beef O'Brady's and did grocery shopping.  I need to remind myself that Saturday night is not the time to go to Wal Mart!

Atlantic Ocean

We took a day trip to the Atlantic Ocean today.  First we went across Florida to Jacksonville then down the coast on highway A1A.  It was a nice day and a fun trip - good to see the real Florida!

I need a house with an ocean view!
