Last day of Feburary

 When we got up today we put on yesterday's clothing and went directly to Cracker Barrow.  They were not busy at all so we got our breakfast, ate it before the crowds started arriving.  Then we went to the grocery store and did a little shopping.  Good to shop someplace other than Walmart - miss my HyVee store at home.

In the morning we read the newspaper and in the evening watched the Sunday news shows.  Talked to daughter Brenda in the afternoon and daughter Sheila in the evening.

It was 88 degrees today, AC ran most of the time.

Vaccine Appointments

 WE GOT VACCINE APPOINTMENTS

I heard Walmart was starting to give covid vaccines so I got on their web site and found available time slots on Wednesday at a town about 20 miles away.  I got us times together even.  This is great because we really didn't want to travel north without vaccines - gas stations, rest stops, restaurants, motels - all places for the virus to be hiding.  We also wanted to be protected when we see our family again rather than a petri dish of who knows what.

Now we have a full week coming up.

We went to Arby's for sandwiches for dinner.  Another hot day in the 80's.

RIP Kip

 We went to a memorial service for a friend who died from Covid.  He and his wife figured they got the virus from the same place.  She had like a bad cold for a few days, he died after being on a ventilator.  So sad, he was 78 years old, healthy and very active - the type of person who couldn't sit still.  He will be missed.

It was a hot day, we turned on the AC when we got home at noon.  It ran off and on all afternoon and evening.

We went into Bushnell to pick up one restaurant's Friday special - steak and shrimp.  Was good as usual.

Getting stuff done!

 We went to 10AM coffee by the swamp.  A good group of people today.  When we came home Don began to clean out our shed.  A trip to the trash dumpster for him.  I did some things inside that I had intended to do for awhile.

Again today it started out cool with the furnace on and then warmed to low 80"s so we turned the AC on.  Then cool in the evening.

We had lasagna for dinner, leftovers for another meal.

McDonalds, Walmart and more windows

We went to McDonalds for breakfast then to Walmart for groceries.  We came home to finish washing the windows.  I even got out to the car to wash the inside of the windows which get a haze on them.  Finally we pronounced our window washing gig DONE!

It was a warm day after a cool night - heat in the morning, AC in the afternoon.

We had buffalo boneless chicken wings for dinner.

Window washers we are

 Nice day - nice day to finally wash the windows.  We have a lot of windows, in the living and kitchen area of our trailer it is all windows on the front and one side.  Then hall and bedroom windows.  We didn't get them all done, our arms were getting sore.  The ones we did get done look really nice!  We did some in the late morning and some in the afternoon.

For dinner, I needed something that took little energy to prepare, we had chicken fried steak from the freezer.  It was OK don't know if we will get it again.
