What every RV-er dreads - a plugged black (toilet) tank. Ours wasn't draining fully and getting worse every time. Finally it hardly drained at all.
SO we decided to try to get it cleared. Don bought a new back flush gadget, installed it and we went to work last evening. At first all seemed to be going well but then it really plugged. Don had me take the hose with nozzle inside and spray down the toilet full force. It just plugged up more and now we had the tank full with nothing draining. Don tried a "plumber's helper", didn't work. He tried putting a rod into the toilet and moving it around, didn't work.
At this point I could see myself making my middle-of-the-night potty break over at the club house.
I check the internet for answers and did find a possibility but first Don decided to fill the gray (sink, shower tank) and see if by letting that water out all at once it would knock the black loose. It didn't sound like a solution to me but we tried it and it WORKED.
Now we are going to try clean the tank out even better, might be a bad idea.
