Infection

Today I went to the podiatrist to have her look at my middle toe on my left foot.  It had swelled to about 3 times it size and was oozing and bleeding.  She quickly determined that I had infection in my toe bone and that it had to be amputated.  Within an hour I was in the hospital getting the prep for surgery the next day.  Not what I had in mind for my week.  She said "remove the toe to save the leg".
